Nationals 2013

Well 2013 Nationals was a mud bath like all ways, and it was cold. It was here in Madison again at the Verona course. The badger prairie course is a power course which is not good for me and its always been a bad course for me. This year I got 17th again, I guess that shows that it really isn't the best course for me. Next year is in Boulder, Colorado at Valmont bike park so it should be amazing!

New Years Resolution Race

The AfterGlow

Well the Afterglow was a mud bath and I loved it! I am a mudder so it was all good. We drove down to Chicago for this race and it was worth the drive. We got there early for my sisters race. She won her first Cat 123 race that day. I knew I was gonna have a tough time because I was racing in the 10-18 so I would have to race against the really big kids but I knew it would be okay because I knew I could beat some of them. I had a good start and was ahead of Simon Jones and Alex.D from IScorp cycling and was holding a good gap in third. But Simon was gaining on me and I just tried to make as few mistakes as possible. Eventually Simon caught up and he tried to suck my wheel but he just isn't as good in the technical stuff. He eventually passed me on a flat where you went out about fifty yards and then turned around and came back. I stayed on his wheel for about four turns and was coasting up on him. We got to a small sand pit almost back to the start finish and Simon endowed super hard and I just thought, what a opportunity, so I just took off and managed to hold him off for one more lap.
